Essay - Breaking the Comb Ceiling published in Lunch Ticket
A finalist for the Diana Woods Memorial Award, this essay focuses on themes of self-discovery and empowerment, generational trauma, and the politics of natural hair in the workplace through the lens of my personal hair journey and family history. I hope it raises awareness about hair discrimination in the workplace and helps fellow BIPOCs who have had similar experiences feel seen and heard.

This issue features 12 amazing poets and I feel humbled to be alongside these powerhouse artists!
Poetry - FIVE Poems published in Mud Season Review
A series of poems that brings the reader into the experience of having chronic illnesses and severe generalized anxiety disorder. From Invisible Illnesses, which describes what it feels like in the body to have fibromyalgia and spondyloarthritis/rheumatoid arthritis, to Isolating When the World is a Dumpster Fire, which speaks to the fear induced by the current times, I hope these poems increase awareness and empathy and generate conversation, contributing to the destigmatization of disability and mental health.
